This review is from: Taupe Adjustable Storage Sofa Bed I bought this shortly before I moved several months ago, knowing that space would be an issue at my new home. The color is actually more of a golden shade than it is a taupe, but thankfully that works well enough in my color scheme. I still would have preferred the taupe. The storage space it provides is great. When it's not in use as a bed, it holds a couple of pillows, full size quilts, throws, and sheets. When in use, there's room to put the decorative pillows underneathe. It would be nice, though, if the back of the storage extended a few inches further, though, because as it is now, it can't be pushed flushed against the wall without making it impossible to turn it into a sofa bed. A few extra inches might also allow for more space to sit on. Also, the gap is clearly noticeable when the sofabed is upright, allowing anyone who glances towards the back (usually wondering why the sofa is so far from the wall) a full view of anything in that half of storage. To move the couch, you have to remove the arms. Easy to do, but still annoying. The fabric also stains VERY easily. The final point that I will make is the comfort level. It could use a little bit of cushioning at the top. When the sofabed is extended, the middle section where the metal beam is that helps it fold in and out is quite annoying to sleep on because it is very noticeable.PROS: Decent color Decent price Quick delivery Lots of Storage Easy to convert from sofa to bed and visa-versa Good customer service CONS: Not a lot of sitting space Hard metal beam noticeable when is set up as a bed Stains easily Have to remove the arms to move the sofa Gap between back of seat and wall Gap exposes a large amount of storage Can't put sofa flush to wall Color isn't as pictured SUGGESTIONS: A bit extra padding at the top Extend the back part of the storage to be flush with the bed so can be flush with the wall Move the back of the seat further back, giving more seat space and hiding the storage Spray with a protective fabric finish Final thoughts: Ultimately, I wouldn't buy this sofabed again. However, for the price and functionality, I am satisfied with it. There were a few screws missing (a minor inconvience) and the instructions could have been more explicit.The Sofa bed is somewhat better than I expected to be in terms of value, quality and workmanship. It doesn't look cheap. It exceeded all my expectations . The material is soft, yet looks and feels durable. I like the fact that it has storage for easy access to pillows and linen. It wasn't too difficult to put together. The bed portion is hard, which is not a problem for me. Overall, I think I got more than my money's worth. |
