The primary station takes measurements from its immediate surroundings and also communicates with the remote sensor, which can be mounted outdoors up to 100 feet away. A large LCD screen shows temperature, humidity, and comfort level for both locations. It also depicts weather forecasts in kinetic -movement graphics and tracks overall trends in recent readings. Adjustable for altitude, the device's barometer charts a 24-hour pressure trend on a easy-to-read bar graph, while an eight-part indicator tracks tidal changes and moon phases. The station's ExactSet clock, designed for use in the continental U.S., sets itself by the U.S. Atomic Clock, resynchronizes six times a day, and adjusts for daylight savings.
